Tribute to DangerMouse

So I have been listening to a lot of DangerMouse productions of late. In doing so it has become more and more apparent with each new track I hear that he has the miners touch, everything he touches turns to gold. Brian Burton the kid who shadowed behind his heroic cartoon mouse alias, nervously masking his identity by performing in a mouse suit could not escape the lime light for too long. Although Burton's first release's were met with praise by critics it was his bootleg release the Grey Album, a mash up of the Beatles White and Jay-Z's Black album that hype was cast upon on his potential. The Grey Album left such an impression that Rolling Stone Magazine labeled it "the ultimate remix record". Another one of music's icon's drawn to his latest production exploits was Blur's front man Damon Albarn who enlisted him to produce Albarn's side project, the Gorillaz's second album, Demon Days. Such was the success of this partnership, old mate Brian was able to secure himself a Grammy award as producer of the year. Since then he's gone from strength to strength, working with and creating new household names such as Gnarles Barkly, DangerDoom, The Black Keys, Broken Bells, Beck,  Jokers Daughter and many more tasty morsels. I've thrown together a few tracks that he's had something to do with and I believe are worth a listen. So sit back, relax and enjoy some quality shiz.

mp3: Gnarls Barkly - Crazy

mp3: Gorillaz - Dare

mp3: Beck - Gamma Ray

mp3: DangerDoom - Sofa King

mp3: Joker's Daughter - Last Laugh Sorry could only get a link to the full album not a particular track, although the whole album is worth a look as are all of these artists tracks!

mp3: Little Girl (feat. Julian Casablancas) - DangerMouse & Sparklehorse

well here's a few to get your juices flowing anyways.

  1. Fuck yeah boi.
You`re writing is fucking good man.
    Getting better too.
For a meathead. Drink drink drank.
Thatsit girl. Fuck I love you, you dumb cunt. I`m stealing those phrases for creative fiction purposes if this is okay? If i make any money I`ll send you a bent dedication and pay you mad royalties. HAHAHA.

DM is the sickest kent. No doubt. Love `Little Girl` and `Gamma Ray` hard as feck. The grey album trips with Lucy in the Sky then slams with the Jizza on the streets of Brooklyn. Gives me a massive hard-on. Not far off best remix album I`ve heard.

My recent nomiation for that title is from a series called ``Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture``.... the rest will probably be try-hard white kids tryin` to be street, but the one Casss gave me ``The 36 Chambers Go Dubstep``.... Blurrrn blurrrn blurrrn wob wob wob Protect Ya Mutha Fuckin neck.

Mexico is still radical, non bewg-addicto and non Facecook means heaps more time for tequila and tacos and bitches and reading and writing. Two sexy senoritas came around and cut my hair last night.... no offence to Teagan Cutting Loose or Jar Jar Smashing Boxes but these bitches were radical. Mint latinas. Awewo. I`m losing it.

    Talk soon pal, catch.
